Roooofus!
So once upon a time there was a singing black dog named Roofus. And he lived with two incredibly lucky guys (that would be us). And it didn't take long for them to become utterly <<caduco>> about this puppy dog (as my Cuban mother defined the Spanish word, it means "over the waterfall, gone gone gone overboard").
So, here is a small Whitman's sampler of photographs taken with my small palm camera. William Wegman has nothing over me and my photographing Roofus. Okay, he's been doing it longer and has had more dogs. But if he had only one dog and three years he'd be lagging behind my photo-rate. Anyway, Weimaraners are cute, but they don't sing... Anyway, here are the photos already..

This is one of the first pictures of Roofus. Taken at this dog park in Greenbelt. I sort of snuck Roofus in (cause he's a DC dog and the sign said only Maryland dogs (grrr!). So, I figured we'd do a reverse taxation thing and do our bit to balance out all the millions that MDers take out of the district each day. Nice park but it was rainy that day and no doggies.

Besides, there are MUCH better places for a dog to run in DC. This would be the wondrous Congressional Cemetery where dogs run free and dog-owners help keep this cemetery going. This blur is Roofus unleashed running to his heart's delight. Note his airborne status.

This shot won him "Dog of the Month" at Doolittle's here in DC (now "Chateux Pooch" or something godawful like that). Taken on a hike in PA a few years ago.

One of my favorite pictures of the summer. Pete holding him in his arm through the window and me taking this through the sunroof of the car. And the flapping ears of this majestic Shlabusky (shepherd, lab & husky) open to the breeze!

Okay. He was not happy. Adorable still. But not happy.
